Springfield Armory is a leader in the arms manufacturing industry, priding themselves on improved manufacturing techniques and cutting-edge design inspired by the rich history of the company and those who came before it. Springfield Armory had occupied their previous facility, which saw many additions to that property, for many decades. The constant growth of Springfield Armory led them to the decision to build a new facility to meet all their current and projected needs with the goal of remaining part of the local community in which their roots have persisted for many years.
The new facility is approximately 180,000 square feet and was intended to house production, manufacturing, warehousing, shipping & receiving along with support spaces, including some office space, conference rooms, break rooms, and I.T. support. The new space proved to be such a good fit that Springfield Armory moved most of their entire operation into the new facility with plans for a Phase 2 Administrative Addition. The site utilities, infrastructure, and building site were designed and sized accordingly to accommodate multiple future expansions.
