The Illinois offices of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce were relocated after the organization outgrew its space. After a fairly exhaustive search for space throughout the Quad Cities, the Chamber settled on the RiverStation building at Bass Street Landing. The RiverStation building is one of the centerpieces of an emerging river front reclamation in downtown Moline. The Chamber asked Studio 483 to design a build-out of approximately 5,000 square feet on the third floor that would represent the mission of the Chamber and symbolize its position as a champion for the greater Quad Cities region. It was essential to design a space that projected a positive and welcoming image of the Chamber and the Quad Cities as a whole. The organization within the space is simple and clear. The material palette restrained but elegant.
